From the Editor
What do organizations such as Tread Lightly, BlueRibbon Coalition,
Access Fund, and the Sierra Club all have in common? Well, all of these
organizations are focused on responsible land use and keeping public
lands accessible to each and every one of us for the purpose of some
form of recreation. The problem is that many land use organizations have
become so focused on a specific aspect of the subject that the idea of
community is being lost. The fact of the matter is that we, as Jeep
enthusiasts, are a part of a much larger community of off-highway and
adventure enthusiasts who all share the same goal: Accessing the
grandeur of public lands for ALL recreational purposes.
Because we are all part of this “community,” it’s our responsibility to not
only promote responsible land use through action but also come
together to achieve solidarity in tackling the growing problems our
environment faces.
Over the course of the next several months, JPFreek Adventure
Magazine, in conjunction with our partners, will be working to
re-emphasize the importance of a “community” atmosphere through the
promotion of responsible land use and solidarity. By working to bring the
community of off-highway and adventure enthusiasts together, JPFreek
Adventure Magazine hopes to further the efforts of establishing more
equitable conversation amongst all organizations to help ensure the
future of public lands for our children and grandchildren.
Thanks again for all your support of JPFreek Adventure Magazine and its
focus as a Jeep and adventure lifestyle publication. We hope that our
photos and articles will continue to engage and excite you to enjoy your
own off-highway and outdoor adventure, all while helping to further the
cause of responsible land use, share in discussion to protect the
environment, and strive to enhance the sense of community we all share.
Happy Trails,
