Finding time between driving his XJ and
testing Mopar’s concept vehicles was a
task that Matt Adair, contributing editor,
was more than ready for. As Matt would
later say, “I got to drive the two most
talked about vehicles in all of Moab;
the Jeep JT and J8. Basically, these are
the modern version of the Viper, SSR,
Thunderbird and a few other select
few concept cars which squeak past
the corporate bean-counters and see
production.” We’re fervently hoping.

For Matt, the elation from driving the
Jeep J8 and JT was more than worth the
2,100+ mile roundtrip drive from Seattle
to Utah. Mopar’s innovation was certainly
the keynote to an exciting EJS this year
and with Easter Jeep Safari 2009 already
in the works, the patronage to Moab by
Jeep enthusiasts the world over will be
fervent with anticipation for the next big
showing by Mopar Underground and the
Jeep brand.
